Winding checks 

To transition and seal the join between the rod blank and the cork handle.   

Recommended for full wells and ritz grips. 

Not needed for grips that taper to a fine point at the front.  Provided you do a tidy job of reaming the cork to fit the blank,  a few turns of thread will serve.

Available in silver, smoky or black anodised finishes, inner diameter 7.5mm - 11mm.  Limit 3 per size/colour per customer.

We stock a few 11.5-13mm in silver and smoky finish, purchase limit one per customer in these sizes.

To select the correct size measure your blank diameter at 10" / 25cm from the butt (for single handed fly rods), or at the point where the top of the handle will be.  Round up to the next 0.5mm, winding checks should not be a tight fit to avoid creating a sheer point.
