Important: please check fit before purchase. Handle bore circa 9mm is not suitable for blanks with butt OD less than 7mm. Select the 'add mesh tape' option under 'product extras' for mesh packing tape to shim gaps of up to 1mm (each side) between the blank and the grip (see listing pictures 7-8).    

A convenient and affordable build kit with good value and quality components that will serve you well, saving around 10% compared to buying the components individually.

Handle: 7" 'fishtail' RHW carbon fibre grip as standard, or select full wells.  The handle is inlet to fit the supplied reel seat.  If you buy the kit with one of our blanks in the same order, we will also ream the grip to fit the blank or supply mesh tape for shimming (whichever is required).   There is an option to purchase sufficient shimming mesh tape if you need it for a blank bought elsewhere.

Seat: For blanks up to 9.5mm butt OD, we supply a SUL1 uplocking reel seat with one lock ring, black finish with a carbon fibre insert and an endcap. Or select the UL5 black all metal seat to fit blanks up to 13mm but OD.

Guides: Appropriately sized Pac Bay or Seaguide snake or single foot guide set, in TiCH black PVD finish to colour match the handle and reel seat. The kit includes a colour matched tiptop, stripping guide and hook keeper.  Select the line rating, rod length and tiptop size you require.   Choose between a standard lined ceramic ring or traditional style chunky ring all metal stripping guide.

For rods up to 9', we provide nine running guides and one stripping guide (either standard lined or anti-tangle lined), a small hook keeper and a standard loop tip ring. Eleven running guides plus stripper are provided in the 9'-11' length option.

Line rating #2/3/4 starts with guide size #1/0 and the stripper is #10.   Line rating #5/6 starts with guide size #1, the stripper is #12.
