Trout master 'all black' flyrod component build kit  for single handed fly rods #5 - #8

Important: please check fit before purchase. Handle bore circa 9mm is not suitable for blanks with butt OD less than 7mm. Select the 'add mesh tape' option under 'product extras' for mesh packing tape to shim gaps of up to 1mm (each side) between the blank and the grip (see listing pictures 7-8).    We recommend adding a black cork check (sold separately).

A convenient and affordable build kit with good value and quality components that will serve you well, saving around 10% compared to buying the components individually.

Handle: 7" full wells carbon fibre grip as standard, or select RHW.  The handle is inlet to fit the supplied reel seat.  If you buy the kit with one of our blanks in the same order, we will also ream the grip to fit the blank or supply mesh tape for shimming (whichever is required).   There is an option to purchase sufficient shimming mesh tape if you need it for a blank bought elsewhere.

Fighting butt: 1.4" 35mm carbon fibre fighting butt with black EVA end cap.

Seat: For blanks up to 9.5mm butt OD, we supply a SUL2 uplocking reel seat with two lock rings, black finish with a carbon fibre insert and a fighting butt trim band. Or select the UL7 Garrison style black all metal seat to fit blanks up to 13mm but OD, also with two lock rings and a trim band.

Guides: Appropriately sized Pac Bay or Seaguide snake or single foot guide set, in TiCH black PVD finish to colour match the handle and reel seat. The kit includes a tiptop, ceramic lined stripping guide and hook keeper.  Select the line rating, rod length and tiptop size you require, and choose between standard upright or angles anti-tangle stripping guides.

For rods up to 9', we provide nine running guides starting size #1 and one #12 stripping guide (standard ceramic lined or optional anti-tangle lined), a hook keeper and a standard loop tip ring. Ten running guides plus two strippers (#10 + #12) are provided in the 9'-11' length option.   Select the tiptop size you need from the list.
