Complete Snake Brand snake guide sets for fly rods with matching stripping guides 

A choice of Universal guides, the premium choice for round blanks with a radiused 'no-prep' guide foot.  Or Snake Brand Original guides with a standard flat wire guide foot,  suitable for any fly rod and a better choice for cane rod flats.

Sets include a suitable number and size-mix of colour matched snake and stripping guide(s) for your rod length and line rating, as shown in the table within the listing pictures.  Please note the smallest size Universal guide made is #1/0.  Where a #2/0 is indicated a Snake Brand Original guide will be supplied.

The sets include one tiptop ring (select the size you need), a u-bend hook keeper and a good quality Pac Bay or Seaguide zirconium stripping guide (or two where appropriate).   Select from a choice of standard upright zirconium ring stripping guide (Pac Bay), a traditional chunky metal ring guide (Seaguide) or upgrade to angled Seaguide anti-tangle format (zirconium).  If you prefer to use a different stripping guide such as an agate,  please purchase individual guides listed separately or buy a set and purchase the stripping guide of your choice in addition.  

If you are buying a guide set to go with one of our rod blanks in the same order, we will assume they are to go together and we will supply the correct size tiptop for that blank.  Use the message function at check out if your requirements are different.  

If the guide set is for your own blank, ask your blank provider or measure the diamater of your rod blank about 1cm from the tip end with a pair of callipers.  If in doubt, pick the next size up, or buy some extra sizes (individual tiptops listed separately).  Buying one or two extra will usually cost less than the postage cost of replacing the wrong size.  

Tiptop sizes available: Standard loop 1.4mm (#3.5) - 2.2mm (#5.5).   Large loop 1.8mm (#4.5) - 2.2mm, and 2.4mm in Seaguide or Pac Bay (#6) as Snake Brand does not make this size.  A large loop tiptop will be supplied for rods rated line #8+.
