Fish tail style reverse half wells slim fly rod grip
Firm new season cork with some minor markings and a little tidy filling.
The listing price is for one cork grip. The reel seats shown can be purchased separately.
The fish tail is a comfortable slim grip similar to the reverse half wells found on most production fly rods up to #6. The fishtail version has a flatter taper with the fuller part of the grip a little further forward than most RHW. With the the palm of the hand in this position a wider range of hand holds are unimpeded by the reel, especially if you use a large arbour reel. Made to our design in Portugal.
Available in two grades of firm new season cork, with a little tidy filling and cosmetic figuration. The 'great cork ' grips are as good as you will find in commercial production, subject to seasonal variations in the quality of cork available. The 'good cork' grips have more filling and marking than the 'great cork' grips, but are still excellent quality and better than what you see fitted to most commercially made fly rods. The listing photos show the difference.
