Predator flyrod component build kit  for single handed fly rods #8-12

A convenient and affordable build kit with good value and quality components that will serve you well, saving around 10% compared to buying the components individually.

Handle: 7.25" full wells grip in Good grade cork, and the option to upgrade to Great grade cork.  The handle is inlet to fit the supplied reel seat.  If you buy the kit with one of our blanks in the same order, we will also ream the grip to fit the blank.

Fighting butt: 1.1" 28mm cork fighting butt with agglomerated rubber cork end cap.

Seat: Heavy duty UL8 silver, black or smoky all metal reel seat to fit blanks up to 15mm but OD, with two lock rings and a trim band. 

Optional £20 (ex VAT) upgrade to a solid titanium reel seat (the trim band on the titanium seat fits blanks up to 10mm OD, larger diameter blanks can be fitted without the trim band).  Silver chrome guides supplied to colour match the titanium seat

Guides: Appropriately sized Pac Bay or Seaguide snake or single foot guide set, colour matched to the reel seat. The kit includes a large loop tiptop, two stripping guides and hook keeper.  Select the rod length and tiptop size you require. Choose between three stripping guide options: ceramic lined standard upright or angled anti-tangle, or traditional style with a heavy duty metal ring.

For rods up to 9', we provide eight running guides starting size #3 and two stripping guides, size #12+16, a hook keeper and a large loop tip ring. Ten running guides plus two strippers are provided in the 9'-11' length option.   Select the tiptop size you need from the list.  If you would rather start with a #2 or #4 running guide, send us a message using the message option at check out.
