Traditional American style snake guides with the teardrop loop profile used on most production fly rods.

We recommend using the smallest appropriate size of guide especially on the top half of the rod. This will help maximise the performance of your rod by minimising excess weight.  We also recommend starting with lite wire guides on rods up to line #5

For rods line #0/1 start with guide size 3/0 or 2/0, for rods #2/3 start with #2/0, for #4/5 start with #1/0, for #6/7 start with #1, for #8/9 start with #2, and for #10+ start with #3 

Larger guides (next size up) may be appropriate if you are using shooting heads or long/French leaders.
