How to order

You are buying a full reel seat, metal parts and an insert (spacer).  First select metal parts, then add ONE insert per set of metal parts. 

The price shown for the metal parts includes a standard insert for a nominal £0.01.   Premium insert costs shown are the upgrade cost from the standard insert included in the reel seat price (the upgrade price is a reduction on their full retail cost). 

Inserts, extra inserts and metal skeletons are not sold separately.  

Description

A well-made and good value OEM version of a popular classic reel seat.  Medium size suits fly rods up to #6/7. 

Up-locking aluminium alloy in a range of anodised finishes plus nickel silver plated (nickel finish is not suitable for saltwater use).

Supplied as a full, unassembled reel seat including an unfitted insert, with one locking ring and an endcap as standard. Optional fighting butt trim bands are available in black and olive gold finish only, for purchase as part of a complete reel seat (not sold separately).

Inserts (bore 9.5-10mm)

Choose from 6 'standard' insert options for the inclusive (£0.01) price indicated. These inserts are supplied by the seat manufacturer.

We also offer an extensive selection of our own premium, vacuum stabilised burl or exotic wood inserts, each with a two-letter code, followed by "-S" if the wood has been vacuum stabilised.  Premium inserts are at the upper end of the price range with the insert upgrade price shown. You will get the insert pictured. 

Premium inserts are triple dipped in marine grade urethane varnish, and will be trimmed to fit and polished to a bright gloss finish before dispatch.  Base your choice on the left two-thirds of the insert photo as the ends will be trimmed and the rebate for the screw lock threads will always be cut on the right side of the insert photo.  

NB: Premium inserts for Classic 'M' reel seats are slightly larger OD than those we make to fit Lemke LC1/LC7 or Struble U20/D20/U24 seats, they are not an interchangeable fit.
